Projects and Events

Teaching & Education Projects, UK - ongoing. Working predominantly with young people in association with schools, galleries, local authorities and communites to develop educational and social projects. Based around Leo's working approach and in response to the interests and broad cultural concerns of all participants, this is an ongoing teaching and research activity directly related to the artists work. Pugh Pugh, Berlin. Studio and project space. Co-curator with Paul Hopton. 2003-2004 Short term studio and exhibition space in Berlin Mitte, mostly showing the work of a young Berlin based international arts scene. Exhibitions included: Stroll:Downtown with Gheeten Verheus and Ingo Gherken: Tocabanismus with Sean Reynard, Oliver Zwink and Jeroen Offerman; Joy of Stability with Ben Cotrell and Stephan Homann. Other artists include: Andreas Koch, David Allen, Dermott O'brien, Diego Castro, Gabriela Albergaria, H.N.Semjon, Jorinda Voigt, Klaus Jörres, Laura Bruce, Markus Eek, Martine Schumacher, Matthew Burbidge Stephen Wilks, Xenia Helms.

CSKX Studios, London. Artist’s studios and project space. Founder member, exhibitions and events organizer. 1990-2001. A small group studio space located behind Kings Cross Station, housing a variety of artists, writers, theatre groups and designers over 11 years. During this time I also curated a number of exhibitions and events, including: The House No Garden Project, 1995; CSKX Projection Project 2000-1, (a Public Art Project where artists were commissioned to create works to be projected onto the studios 1st floor windows during the night, this ran nearly every day for the last year of the studio. Artists included; Dan Hayes, Gareth Jones, James Pyman, Sonja Alhauser, Bettina Hoffman); The End is Nigh, 2001. (The last exhibition at CSKX featuring many of the artists who had been involved with the space, including; Jane and Louise Wilson, Tracey Emin, Sara Lucas, Terry Smith, Nicky Hirst, Andrew Davenport, The Handsome Foundation.)
